JYNISYS BIO

JYNISYS  formerly FITZGERALD

Born Demond Fitzgerald Wilson in Jackson MS, Jynisys began singing, writing, producing music and playing drums for his local church at the age of 15. In 1998 he joined the group Du C’zon and performed locally around the St. Louis area. Jynisys spent his formative years listening to 70’s megastars like The Temptations, Isley Brothers, Zapp & Roger, Teddy Pendergrass, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin and many others. Jynisys’ influences today include a mixture of artists such as Coldplay, Chris Brown, U2, Phillip Phillips and even Lil Wayne.

Instead of relying on the familiar samples, rhythms and riffs that are a mainstay of today’s urban music scene, Jynisys stands out by gravitating toward the authenticity of creating harmonic musical arrangements with solid songwriting—a big commitment that pays off every single time he records. Being from the South, yet living the majority of his adult life in the Midwest, Jynisys  states, “The best and most beautiful music creations are those that are true reflections of the heart. I attempt, at all costs, to make the most realistic—and best possible—record on any music I compose. Inevitably, music is a snapshot of the storyteller, so I think it must be created that way,”

Not surprisingly, Jynisys’ commitment to artistic authenticity comes through loud and clear on his latest EP release entitled “19”! From start to finish, “19” embodies the awareness of 2020 ’s quarantine life, the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement and the Covid-19 Pandemic affecting millions worldwide. Jynisys’ talent and creative gift for music production can be experienced from a consistent body of works such as the album “Full Circle”, EP entitled “Nyctophilia” and three mixtapes “Relationships: R-101”, “Love Files” and “Milk Chocolate”. Jynisys scored and arranged music for the production stage play “Tears of the Strong” by Louis D. Hall for Redeemed Arts LLC. Jynisys’ collaborations with artist around the St. Louis area include: Grammy awarding winning producer Courtney Orlando,Dove Award nominated and Stellar Award winning music producer NAB,St. Louis national artists Thi’sl and Jai, Producer Bradd Young (Lil Wayne’s “Women Lie”, Jodeci and Bone), national Grammy Award Winning artist LeCrae and many more. Jynisys also blazed the St. Louis airwaves through Hot104.1 featuring on the Hit Single “Blue Mutha” by BET’s 106 & Park Freestyle Friday’s Winner and Artist Tef Poe. Jynisys then took his gift and performed on the stage at The Pageant (St. Louis), opening up for Karmin and St. Louis native Nelly! Graduating from Extreme Institute by Nelly, Jynisys holds a Degree in Recording Engineering with Management. He is currently working on his next project titled “VII”…set to release July 9, 2021.

Beyond the world of music production, Jynisys has embarked upon a new adventure into the world of videography creating music videos and film under the name “Pitch Perspective”, which consist of Jynisys and his wife Veta Sky.
